On Saturday, November 4th, in Indianapolis,Indiana, former Laverne FFA Chapter members received their American Degrees at National FFA Convention. Madeline Long, Kolby Kamp, and Jade Bentley-Morrison are the three outstanding recipients.
This is the highest degree an FFA member can receive. It is a very prestigious award that highlight only the best of the best. The requirements one must meet to apply for this award are extensive. The applicant must already have received their state degree, have held an active membership for the last three years, completed secondary instruction in an agricultural education program and operating an outstanding supervised agricultural experience program. Community service, leadership abilities and outstanding scholastic achievement are also required. These are just some of the many requirements.
The American FFA Degree is one that many members strive to receive but few accomplish. These three recipients not only represent the Laverne FFA greatly but are also a huge inspiration to those that will follow and are already striving to reach this goal.
The Laverne FFA extends a big congratulations to these three past members of our chapter. These accomplishments help to make every day an even better day to be a Tiger.
