Library Policies

Hours

8:00-2:45 daily Monday-Friday

The library may be closed for short periods of additional time throughout the day if Mrs. McGuire is in the elementary library.

Visiting Times

Students may come to the library at any time during the open hours as long as they have permission from a teacher.

Borrowing

Students may have a maximum of three books checked out at any time. Books are loaned for three week periods. If students wish to renew books at this time they may as long as someone else has not placed a hold on it. Please return books promptly so other students may use them!

Magazines

Magazines are for library use only. Current issues are found on the magazine rack; back issues may be accessed by request. 

Lost Books

Lost or damaged books must be paid for by the student before any other books can be checked out. 

Fines

Fines are $0.05 per school day for each day the book is overdue. Fines must be paid before any other books can be checked out. Ask Mrs. McGuire for a Remind form to sign up for reminder texts when you have an overdue book.

Computers

The library has four computers that can be used by students with teacher permission. The printer is also available to students.

The library procedures are as follows:
