What Is FFA?

The start of the school year marks many new beginnings for all students. For some this might include taking an ag class and getting their blue corduroy jacket for the first time. FFA is so much more than a class. Read along and learn what the blue and gold is all about. 

FFA was established in 1928, in Blacksburg,Virginia. Since then the FFA has gone through many changes and made many lasting affects in the world we know. The FFA mission statement says, “FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.” 

There are many different activities to become involved in inside of the FFA. As FFA is such a broad organization there is a perfect place for everyone. Laverne FFA has been very successful and prides themselves in the reputation their chapter has gained over the years. 

The new school year unlocks so many opportunities for stepping out of your comfort zone and growing. Joining and becoming an active FFA member is a great way to do just that!
