My name is Mrs. Iverson, and my husband’s name is Jason. We have two children named Nolan and Emma, and we reside in Knowles, Oklahoma. Some activites that I enjoy are reading, listening to music, researching, crafting, and socializing with friends and family.
At a very young age, I knew that I wanted to be a teacher. I would teach my stuffed animals, friends, and siblings. I was the child that always wanted to play school, and I enjoyed helping others learn. In high school, I began tutoring some students, and I knew that my career passion was going to be in education.
In 2005 I graduated from Beaver High School, and I moved to Alva, Oklahoma to attend Northwestern Oklahoma State University. While in college I became very involved in educational organizations, and I was deteremined to assist schools in need. I was president of the local Student Oklahoma Education Association and the National Education Association Delegate at the state level. During my time in office I participated in the renovation of schools in Florida, Pennsylvania, Washington D.C., and two schools in Oklahoma. Additionally I served on the OEA’s legal corporate committee and board as a student NEA delegate.
In 2009 I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Early Childhood Education. I received my Masters of Education Degree in Elementary Education in 2011 from NWOSU. I am very excited to add that in 2017 I became a Laverne Tiger. I am proud to say that my children will attend such a fine educational institution.
Teaching is one of my greatest passions in life. As a first grade teacher, I truly enjoy assisting students in gaining all the information necessary for building a strong academic foundation. Watching my students, grow, learn, and flourish is one of my favorite parts of being a teacher! I cannot imagine any career more rewarding, and I am blessed to have a career that provides me with happiness and true fulfillment!
